  1. I gave this video a like because you mentioned left-handed shears. I am mainly left-handed but had to teach myself how to cut everything with scissors and knives right-handed, operate firearms right-handed, and play all sports right-handed because there was never readily available options. Even my computer mouse is right-handed. I often wonder if I would be better at certain tasks if I had access to equally accommodating tools. It is difficult to notice as a right-handed person, but even using white-out is a difficult task for me because it’s designed for a right-handed person in mind. I have broken so many white-outs in my life because I cannot hold them properly! Ha

  2. This is so helpful! I can see now why I’ve had problems with scissoring my dog!! I have shears that are over 25 years old, and while they’ve held up, they need replacing. I like my Gator curved shears, which are only a few years old, but you are correct when it comes to being able to turn them over. I can’t, which means I’m often struggling when I need to change direction.

I need a pair of curved, straight, and finishing shears for a cavachon. Not great conformation, so he has a long body and short legs. I actually clip his face down, so he looks a little more like a spaniel, but he still has those fluffy legs. After some thumb surgery, I had to take him to a groomer, but I’m ready to get started again!
